I have become one of those people who literally uses coconut oil for everything. Whether it be beauty related or household related, it always comes in handy. It is definitely a staple in my kitchen for cooking as well as cleaning. I compiled a list of 9 ways to use coconut oil, that I use a great deal of the time. I hope you find this helpful because coconut oil is awesome!
Moisturizer | Coconut oil serves as a wonderful moisturizer for the body. The perfect time to use it is right before you get out of the shower before you dry off. It provides wonderful moisture to the skin and keeps it hydrated throughout the day. Most moisturizers will wipe off at the slightest touch, however, coconut oil stays on for hours and does not rub off when clothes are put on or taken off.
Teeth Cleaning/Whitening | As a person who’s experienced all kinds of dental work, coconut oil has been a savior of mine. To whiten your teeth, swish coconut oil around in your mouth for about 20 min. The coconut oil attaches to all of the bacteria and cells in your mouth to cleanse your teeth and gums. Once you empty the oil from your mouth, the coconut oil releases as well as all the bacteria. Performing this act a few times a week will increase teeth health and whiten as well.
Cleaning Makeup Brushes | If your makeup brushes are overused and need a cleanse, try using coconut oil! It will wash your brushes easily and leave you with brand new looking products! It is necessary to clean brushes on a monthly basis because bacteria and dirt gets on them from applying them to the skin so often. So keep clean with coconut oil!
Hair mask | If your hair has loose ends, feels damaged, and needs a good condition, use coconut oil! After washing your hair with shampoo, apply coconut oil to your whole head. This will reduce damage to the hair as well as keep it healthy and hydrated! This is something that should only be done a few times a month (you don’t want your hair to be too oily).
Tanning Lotion | If you forgot your tanning lotion, no need to worry, coconut oil is almost better than tanning products! It provides the oil and hydration needed for the skin to receive the perfect amount of sunlight to get a glowing tan.
Cooking | This may be an obvious use for coconut oil, but it serves as a great aid for cooking. It can be used as an oil to make veggies or popcorn in a pan on the stove!
Makeup Remover | Another beauty related use for coconut oil is removing makeup. It works just the same as makeup removing wipes, except, it’s healthier and better for the skin. It also sports the moisturizer position while taking off all makeup particles.
I hope you all had a wonderful 4th of July and I hope you enjoyed learning about coconut oil! Talk to you next time.
