During the summer I like to take advantage of the long morning routines. I enjoy taking long showers, organizing my life for an hour or so, and finally settling in the bathroom to apply my makeup. Throughout the year, I never put on a lot of makeup because it takes up time and I don’t see a reason to wear a full face of makeup to school. However, the summer is full of events, busy schedules, etc., so I love to have fun experimenting with makeup.
Today, I am sharing my everyday or go-to makeup for this summer. This look matches everything, casual or fancy, and I never find myself getting tired of the eyeshadow colors or the lipstick finish.
To begin, I apply a honey moisturizer from Mario Badescu to hydrate the skin.
I apply the Benefit Porefessional primer to clean up blemishes and cover my pores to allow my foundation to go on very smooth.
I have been using a sample of the Too Faced Born This Way foundation, mixing the colors light beige and sand to ensure the perfect color to match my body tan. I absolutely love this formula. It’s creamy but not oily and it’s super hydrating.
I then apply my favorite concealer, Urban Decay concealer in the color light. This brightens up underneath my eyes as well as the t-zone.
To set my foundation and concealer, I use the Revlon PhotoReady powder in the shade 020, light/medium.
To bring some color into the face I apply my favorite bronzer, Too Faced Sun Bunny.
For blush. I used a new product, Laura Geller Baked Blush -N- Brighten in the color Tropic Hues.
To add some shine I always use the same product, MAC Soft & Gentle highlighter.
For the brows, I use the Anastasia Perfect Brown Pencil in dark brown.
For my eyes, I have been using the Lorac Pro Matte palette. For my base, I apply the color Bare. Next, I apply Pink Mauve to my crease and blend it out to the brow bone. Lastly, I apply Burgundy to the outer crease and connect it to my lash line, almost in a V shape.
For mascara, I am trying out the Maybelline Colossal Spider Effect product. I LOVE IT.
